A good chance to obtain a sub £30 Grand Cru Classe St Emilion from one of the best vintages in modern times! Berliquet has a lovely ripeness but also a savvy restraint. It comes from top notch St Emilion sloping terroir. Colour Deep garnet/purple Aroma Black and Red berries, conifer/juniper, herbs and toasty oak Taste Medium tannin and lowish acidity. Can just be brooched in 2010 but keep for much longer. Chateau 9ha 72% Merlot 20% Cab Franc 8% Cab Sav. The more I try the more I like modern vintages of this estate...value too!
